Cauliflower Festival Sept. 20
The Annual Margaretville Cauliflower Festival is excited to celebrate its 21st year this September 19th through the 21st, 2025. This free event honors the history of cauliflower farming, agriculture, art and community with food, live music, vendors, and activities all weekend long!
Armchair Cemetery Tour Aug. 23 / 24
Seven people from the past and a narrator to introduce them will be featured in the Historical Society of Middetown’s 2025 Living History Cemetery Tour August 23 and 24.
Instead of a walking tour through a cemetery, this year’s event has been reimagined as an “Armchair Tour” for the stage at Open Eye Theater in Margaretville. The stories will be just as compelling as in past years, however, with the addition of background visuals.
Birthday Block Party July 26 celebrates Margaretville anniversary
The Village of Margaretville invites residents and visitors to play, shop, eat, drink and dance in the middle of Main Street Saturday, July 26 from 4 to 7 p.m.
Margaretville through the years topic of July 13 program
The Village of Margaretville will mark the 150th anniversary of its incorporation this year. The Historical Society of the Town of Middletown (HSM) will present an illustrated talk on the village’s colorful history Sunday, July 13 at 2 p.m. at the Middletown History Center, 778 Cemetery Rd., Margaretville.

The short but eventful life of the Delaware & Northern Railroad will be the topic of an illustrated talk by historian John Duda on Sunday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at the Middletown History Center.

MARGARETVILLE –The program hall of the Middletown History Center on Cemetery Road in Margaretville is available to rent for special functions.
Margaretville Lauded by State Legislature
The Margaretville Village Board will meet Thursday, May 8 at 4 p.m. to read from a NYS Legislative Resolution honoring the village at the 150th anniversary of its incorporation. The Resolution was passed by both the Senate and the Assembly March 20, and the village was to be honored on the floor of the Senate in Albany May 6 with Village representatives present.
